Company information: ALCLA Native Plants is a nursery operating in Treaty 7 Territory and Metis Region 3 in Alberta that has promoted native plants since 1992. We carry plants and seeds for over 150 species of grasses, shrubs and wildflowers native to Alberta. We wild-collect our seed to preserve genetic diversity and ensure climate tolerance for the Calgary area. We offer consultation to advise on native plant implementation on projects. Educational services and custom seed collection and growing are also available. We supply plants for home gardens, schoolyard naturalization, prairie restoration projects and more.
Planting native plants is the best way to support declining wildlife populations including native birds, bees and butterflies.
Year established: 1992
