Drs. Sheri Madigan and Nicole Racine discuss strategies for promoting parent and child well-being during COVID-19 and recognizing signs of child stress. They provide tips for talking to kids about COVID-19 and social-distancing, and offer strategies for establishing and managing routines, such as balancing children’s physical activity, sleep, screen time, school work, and family time.
About the speakers
Dr. Sheri Madigan, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, associate professor and the Canada Research Chair in Determinants of Child Development in the Faculty of Arts and the Owerko Centre at the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
Dr. Nicole Racine, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and an Alberta Innovates Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
About the moderator
