Company information:  TuffHill eBikes (https://www.tuffhillebikes.com/) locally designs electric bikes with high quality, low maintenance components specifically curated for the Canadian urban riding environment.Our company was started by two local Calgary families, the Tuffs and the Hills (all founders are UCalgary graduates). In 2021, after many passionate conversations about the role eBikes could play in the future transportation, TuffHill eBikes was born. 

Our vision is to transform the way people move in their cities. We actively advocate for safe bicycle infrastructure and partner with local organizations to empower people of all backgrounds to join the cycling revolution.

We currently offer one ebike model (with 2 frame styles) geared towards urban or “tour” riding. We also sell accessories such as baskets, winter tires, and panniers.

EBike education is a key service we offer in addition to bike sales. We offer long test rides for free and provide biking resources and education to the biking-curious (https://www.tuffhillebikes.com/choosing-the-right-ebike-for-me).

TuffHill eBikes was featured as an Innovator of the Week by Avenue Magazine and we have co-organized bike rides with numerous city councilors as a way to advocate for more sophisticated bike infrastructure.
