Boards and committees
Meet the alumni volunteers who represent the UCalgary Alumni Association and support its work.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors represents Alumni Association members in an advisory capacity.
Executive Governance Committee
The committee develops governance policies and practices and reviews governance documents each year.
It is chaired by the association’s Vice President and Vice Chair. Members include sitting board committee chairs, the President and Chair, and the Past-President.
Nominations and Assessment Committee
The committee recommends appointments when alumni representation is requested, including statutory and ad hoc appointments.
It evaluates the Board’s composition each year to support the association’s current and future needs. This includes evaluating the President/Chair and Vice President/Vice Chair.
Affinity Communities Committee
The committee reviews and approves applications for alumni-led affinity communities. It also reviews funding requests for activities and initiatives proposed by approved groups.
Alumni Recognition Committee
The committee celebrates graduates’ achievements and encourages award nominations. Its Arch Awards Sub-Committee reviews nominations and selects annual recipients of the association’s highest honour, awarded since 1985.
