Alumni Field Trip: A Symphony and Social at the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra

Saturday, Nov. 16

6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Dress to impress and join us for an unforgettable evening at the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra this fall!

Experience the magic of Rachmaninoff’s dramatic Second Piano Concerto, performed by the dazzling Nicholas Namoradze, and be enchanted by Rimsky-Korsakov’s symphonic suite inspired by Arabian Nights, all under the baton of conductor Sarah Ioannides. The night will also begin with a celestial poem by UCalgary’s very own alum, Kelly-Marie Murphy, BMus'87, MMus'89, to set the mood for the rest of the production.

Before the concert begins, you’re invited to mix and mingle with fellow alumni and music lovers and tour the Jack Singer Concert Hall as part of this alumni-exclusive field trip. Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Registration is currently closed. If you are interested in attending the event, please email alumni@ucalgary.ca and we will be in touch if a ticket becomes available.

Cost:

  • $32 Upper Circle Centre (second balcony)
  • Please note that the Dress Circle Centre (first balcony) tickets are now sold out.
