This keynote explores how you can develop your own career identity through experience, reflection and trying different opportunities. Drawing from her unconventional path in creative entrepreneurship and partnerships with national organizations, Miranda Krogstad, BA’16, explores how we can build confidence, make intentional choices and adjust our direction as we grow. This keynote will highlight practical strategies for recognizing strengths, evaluating opportunities and making thoughtful decisions about what comes next. You’ll walk away with a clearer sense of how to shape your own career one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you.

Miranda Krogstad, BA’16 (she/her)

Miranda Krogstad is a TEDx speaker and bestselling author of the book, Glass Half Full of Poetry. A spoken-word poet, eternal optimist and workshop facilitator, Miranda has connected with thousands of writers in dozens of cities across Western Canada. A member of the 2016 national wild card team, member of the 2013 spoken word program at the Banff Centre, Calgary Arts Development grant recipient, and a two-time Canada Council for the Arts grant recipient, she now runs the spoken-word network YYSpeak: a communal and supportive space for local spoken-word artists.
