We will kick off the in-person day of Grow Your Career Conference with former Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi, BComm’93. Nenshi will offer insight into his own career development and key turning points, as well as the importance of community involvement in your own career development.

Naheed Nenshi, BComm'93 (he/him)
UCalgary alum Naheed Nenshi served as president of the Students’ Union and, in addition to his degree from the Haskayne School of Business, holds a Master of Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he studied as a Kennedy Fellow. He served as Calgary’s mayor for three terms between 2010 and 2021. During his time, Calgary became one of the greatest cities in the world, named as the best city in which to live in the Western Hemisphere. He also saw the City of Calgary through four states of emergency, including the 2013 floods and COVID-19.
