Workplace Burnout: Prevention and Intervention

The objective of this workshop is to explore the details surrounding workplace burnout and understand its impact on overall well-being. Participants will discover the difference between stress and burnout and form an understanding of the causes of each.

Through a self-assessment, individuals will learn about and identify burnout signs and symptoms to improve self-awareness. Participants will be able to recognize and engage in practical self-care tools as they relate to prevention and intervention. 

Please note that this session is part of the 2024 Grow Your Career Conference full in-person conference day on March 2.

Lorelei Lachambre, MC’05 (she/her)

Lorelei Lachambre holds a Master of Counselling degree from UCalgary and is currently the senior co-ordinator of programs and internships for Quantum City. In 2023, she was recognized at the Schulich School of Engineering Excellence Awards for fostering equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility in Engineering. Lachambre previously lived in Saskatchewan and has 20 years of experience in a variety of counselling positions in education and non-profit community organizations and she is a proud board member of the University of Calgary Alumni Association.
