Dig In! to the Affordable Housing Crisis

December 5 | 7 to 8:15 a.m.

DTC 234, UCalgary Downtown Campus

Cost: Free

Affordable housing is a crisis that matters to our community, and that has been especially top-of-mind lately due to other rising costs of living, population growth and low housing inventory.

Join us for a light breakfast and deep discussion with UCalgary alumni and researchers who have and are currently working on the issues associated with affordable housing in Calgary, including social assistance, poverty-reduction, home inequality and the emotional dimensions of local area planning.

The conversation will focus on the policy that affects housing in our city — from planning and architecture to politics and the economy — and will leave you with examples of things you can do to help mitigate the affordable housing crisis.
