Your Guide to Making a Career Change a Reality

Mar. 2 | Grow Your Career Conference Morning Concurrent Session

UCalgary Downtown Campus (in-person)

With the majority of Canadians seriously contemplating a job switch on any given day, you are not alone if you are pondering the same.  A career pivot is more normal than ever and can take many different forms.

In this session, you will take action on identifying the career values that are most important to you and will understand your skills, interests and relevant labour market information in order to align yourself to the preferred future you are seeking.

Please note that this session is part of the 2024 Grow Your Career Conference full in-person conference day on March 2.

Jill Nikiforuk graduated from UCalgary with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and later completed an MSc in counselling psychology at Chaminade University of Honolulu. From private practice to college environments, she has loved career coaching, helping lost souls (of all ages) navigate and accelerate their career decision-making and job search. Career-pivoting is a favorite topic, and she is excited to teach a “career spin” class to fellow alumni. Nikiforuk is currently the co-ordinator of Youth Employment at Bow Valley College.
