Laura is a marketing and communications specialist at the University of Calgary, where she manages communications for student services offices including Career Services, the Student Success Centre, Writing Symbols Lodge and International Student Services. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering for the Calgary Folk Music Festival and the Calgary Public Library.

Jacquilynne Ellison-Wickson 

Registered Professional Recruiter, TD Bank  

Jacquilynne is an award-winning professional whose career in talent acquisition has spanned more than 16 years. Currently the talent acquisition manager at TD Bank, her team manages the recruitment for retail branch banking across Western Canada. She also sits on TD’s Black Experience committees for the Pacific and Prairie Region and the national board for Indigenous Peoples.

Chartered Professional in Human Resources, City of Calgary 

Ashu currently works for talent management with the City of Calgary and is a seasoned human resources professional. His role includes overseeing the implementation of LinkedIn and other social media platforms, in addition to looking after HR requirements for various business units. Prior to joining the City, Ashu was a human resources business partner with BMO and several startup technology companies, focusing on strategic human capital management, including the use and implementation of ATS systems.

Annette is a recruitment and talent strategist with 15 years of experience in human resources. She currently works as a recruitment manager for GardaWorld Security Services, which employs more than 12,000 people. Annette has recruited across multiple industries for everything from entry-level positions to corporate executive suite roles and has insight into effective application strategies.
