Enjoy an evening of socializing, snacks and networking, hosted by co-founder of Cold Garden Beverage Company, Dan Allard, BComm’09.
Dan — beer lover, event guru and chair of the Inglewood Business Improvement Area — will share inspirational words about his journey to open not only a brewery, but an inclusive social space, along with ways to continuously make connections and build community. You’ll also get the chance to meet and connect with University of Calgary Alumni Association board members throughout the evening.
We’ll provide light snacks and a drink (alcoholic or non) of your choice — our treat!

Co-founder, Cold Garden
First and foremost, Dan Allard, BComm’09, is a host. As co-founder of Cold Garden, a brewery in Inglewood, he and his team love hosting thousands of people every week. As chair of the Inglewood Business Improvement Area, Dan is always thinking of ways for his community to attract more people to the more than 250 businesses in the area. One of Dan's proudest achievements is creating Gopher Park — a basketball court and park space hosting everything from live music to 3-on-3 tournaments. These efforts in the community were recognized with Dan being named in Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2021.
Cold Garden is an alumni-built business located in Inglewood. It's open to all ages and includes non-alcoholic, vegan and gluten-free drink options.
