Three Stories Every Career Needs
Stories — especially the ones we tell ourselves — are incredibly powerful. They can hold us back from our dreams. Or they can help us love our career. In addition, storytelling (the stories we tell about ourselves to others) is an effective way to help people understand who we are and how we can contribute as an employee. Stories make a difference. If you want to be better understood at the job you have, or the one you want, investing in your story skills is valuable and a whole lot of fun.

Kerri Twigg is the author of The Career Stories Method. Through courses and coaching, she helps people use their stories to grow their careers, whether they aim for a "job-job" or running their own business. And, if they're not sure what kind of work, she helps with that too. She has been helping people find and share their stories with confidence for nearly 20 years, eight in the career management sector. Kerri helps people figure out what makes them awesome and how that helps their career.

As a relationship-based facilitator, Afshan can weave differing concepts, personalities and priorities together to complete projects that save time, break down silos and increase cross division collaboration.
As a relationship-based facilitator, Afshan can weave differing concepts, personalities and priorities together to complete projects that save time, break down silos and increase cross division collaboration. Afshan worked in oil and gas sector for 10 years and is currently working as compliance specialist at ENMAX. She received her Masters in Economics in 2010 and prior to that a BA honours in Economics [with co-op program] in 2009. She also has a PMP designation and was awarded the Distinguished Toastmaster award in 2018. The Distinguished Toastmaster award represents the highest level of achievement in both communication and leadership. She speaks regularly at Canadian Wildlife Federation-lead conservation education programs, educating youth on public speaking and networking, as well as building confidence in their chosen field. When not at work you’ll find her learning a new skill, as she aims to learn 1 new skill each year. The most recent one being snowboarding.
