Nominations for 2022 Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Awards now open until Nov. 30
Equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility are foundational values, practices and strategic commitments at the University of Calgary. Many members of our campus community are working to ignite positive change.
The Office of Equity, Diversity and inclusion (OEDI) is pleased to announce the institutional call for nominations to recognize the change-making efforts by UCalgary students, faculty, staff, and teams. Each year, these awards recognize and celebrate UCalgary change-makers who are engaged in transformative efforts to make our university community more equitable, diverse, inclusive and accessible in all areas of our teaching and learning, research and scholarship, community engagement, and living and working environments.
“Equity work can be difficult, time-consuming and even invisible to many who benefit from it. Yet, every day there are colleagues across campus who undertake this work, and are engaged in extraordinary efforts to make our campus a place of belonging in which everyone can flourish. These awards recognize and make visible the transformative efforts of individuals, teams, and university units,” says Dr. Malinda Smith, vice-provost and associate vice-president research (equity, diversity and inclusion).
