Professor participating in "Women, Rights and Religion" workshop

Professor Jonnette Watson Hamilton is participating in a five-day workshop on "Women, Rights and Religion" at the University of Calgary and the University of Victoria.

Professor Jonnette Watson Hamilton is participating in a five-day workshop on "Women, Rights and Religion," which is taking place at the University of Calgary August 28-30, and will conclude at the Centre for the Study of Religion and Society at the University of Victoria on August 31 and September 1.

The workshop includes about 20 female academics from around the world: South Africa, the Philippines, Germany, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, USA, and India, as well as from Canada. Jonnette will be making a public presentation in Victoria of a work-in-progress written by herself and Professor Jennifer Koshan on “Women, Religious Freedom, Equality Rights and the Role of Choice in Canadian Constitutional Law.”
